Overview
This is where Tyre Savers started, and it's still what we're known for. Every damaged tyre gets assessed properly for whether it can be repaired, patched or vulcanised rather than written off. Vulcanising bonds a repair into the casing under heat and pressure, which is why we can save tyres a quick plug would never hold. If the damage is in the sidewall or too close to the shoulder to be safe, we'll say so plainly and sort you out with a replacement instead.

Frequently asked questions
Can you repair a tyre that another shop told me to replace?
Often, yes — bring it in. Repairability depends on where the damage is and how deep it goes, and that's a judgement call we've been making since 1975.
What is vulcanising, and do I need it?
It's a heat-and-pressure repair that bonds new rubber into the casing. It's mostly used on truck, tractor and other heavy tyres where a standard patch wouldn't take the load.
How long will I be waiting?
Most car punctures are done while you wait. Vulcanising takes longer, so we'll give you a realistic time when you drop it in.
